林秀鸾 LIM SUELUAN 指画家-化学学士，师承新加坡先驱画家陈文希博士，油画大师刘抗先生，指画大师吴在炎先生。
曾任新加坡三一指画会会长十三年及中国手指画研究会海外顾问。
2004年创立新加坡妇女艺术协会并担任会长至今。现为新加坡国际文化艺术联合会顾问，新加坡美术总会名誉理事。
由1982年起积极参与国内外重要画展，且被新加坡旅游促进局派往欧，美，日，纽西兰各大城市举行小型个展与现场示范指画。
1999年及2002年在香港举办“林秀鸾指画欣赏”个展，报章报道及无线电视台前来拍摄播放介绍，好评如潮！
2012年获首尔亚太招待展大赏奖。
2024年，她的指画作品在东京第十七届国际书画大赏展上脱颖而出，荣获银奖，并被日本国际艺术学院收藏。凭借其强烈的韵律感与深远的意境，赢得了众多艺术爱好者与专业人士的喜爱。她的作品被誉为“以指代笔的世界之画”，展现了她深厚的艺术功底与敏锐的文化感知力。
在展览期间，日本国际艺术研究院特聘她为客座教授，以表彰她在艺术创作与文化交流中的突出贡献。这个荣誉不仅是对她个人艺术成就的高度认可，也意味着她在国际艺术舞台上迈出了新的高度。
Curriculum vitae of Lim Sue Luan
Lim Sue Luan is a finger painter and holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Nanyang University.
She has taught mathematics, physics, chemistry, art and computer for a total of 43 years.
Art Learned from Singapore's pioneer painters Liu Kang, master of oil painting, Dr. Chen Wen Hsi, master of finger painting Wu Tsai Yen. Formerly was President of Sanyi Finger Painting Society(Singapore) for 13 years,
She was a founding committee of the Federation of Art Societies(Singapore) for 32 years and later served as an honorary committee member.
She is the founder of Women Artists Association (Singapore), and has been the president of it for 20 years.
Now the Inviting Professor of The NPO Japan International Art Institute , the Advisor of International Art & Culture(Singapore), also a Life member of The Society of Chinese Artists and Singapore Art Society,Member of the Penang Art Society.
In 1999 and 2002，Lim Sue Luan Finger Painting Appreciation Exhibition" was held in Hong Kong .
In 2012, she won the Grand Prize at the Seoul Asia-Pacific Art Exhibition.
In 2024, her finger painting works stood out at the 17th Tokyo International Painting and Calligraphy Grand Prix Exhibition, won the silver medal, and were collected by the Japan International Art Academy. With its strong sense of rhythm and profound artistic conception, it has won the love of many art lovers and professionals. Her works are praised as "world paintings with fingers instead of pens", showing her profound artistic skills and keen cultural perception.During the exhibition, the Japan International Art Academy specially invited her as a visiting professor to recognize her outstanding contributions to artistic creation and cultural exchanges. This honor is not only a high recognition of her personal artistic achievements, but also means that she has reached a new height on the international art stage.

In the brilliant starry sky of Chinese culture, calligraphy and painting stand as some of the most radiant pearls. From science to art: a cross-border innovative life
Lim Sue Luan's story began at an unexpected starting point. Born in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia, she moved to Singapore during her childhood with ancestral roots tracing back to Anxi, Fujian. A graduate in Chemistry from Nanyang University, she initially focused on scientific research as a scholar grounded in STEM disciplines. Yet, she refused to remain confined to the laboratory, boldly venturing into the realm of art. Through a remarkable fusion of rationality and sensibility, she embarked on a path brimming with creativity and challenges.Over her 43-year teaching career, Lim Sue Luan instructed not only Mathematics and Chemistry but also delved into Art and Computer Science. Firmly believing that education transcends mere knowledge dissemination to encompass spiritual enlightenment, she encouraged students in her classes to perceive, interpret, and create beauty. Finger painting art: the harmony of

Finger painting is the core of Lim SueLuan's artistic career. This traditional art originated in China, using hands instead of pens, expressing emotions through fingers, and reaching the soul directly. Finger painting is not only a unique creative technique, but also an expression of the soul. Lim Sue Luan learned from Singaporean finger painting master Wu Tsai Yan and mastered the essence of his skills. At the same time, under the guidance of oil painting masters Liu Kang and Dr. Chen Wen Hsi, she absorbed the creative concepts and color expressions of Western art, and finally formed her own unique artistic style. In her creation, the charm of traditional finger painting and the composition of modern painting are perfectly integrated. Her works cover a wide range of subjects, from landscapes, flowers and birds to abstract art, all of which show the unique expressiveness and ideological depth of finger painting. Her landscape works have a profound artistic conception and a strong sense of rhythm. They have both the ethereal beauty of traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting and the structural beauty of modern art. As the 13-year president of theSingapore Three-One Finger Ink Painting Society (三一指画会), she dedicated herself to preserving and advancing this traditional art form. She further championed gender inclusivity in the arts by founding the Singapore Women’s Art Association, where she continues to serve as president, empowering female artists through platforms for creative expression. Additionally, as a founding council member of the Singapore Art Society, she has been instrumental in fostering cross-cultural dialogues between Eastern and Western art, elevating Singaporean art to global prominence. Throughcurating and participating in numerous international exhibitions, she propelled Singaporean artists onto the world stage while introducing global artistic trends to local audiences. 这是中共建党百周年庆，我受邀参展在中国的展品。
我从80年代初期就成新加坡文化代表团副团长（与团长是赖桂芳油画家），屡次访问中国各省市著名画院，交流观摩。
因酷爱旅行与中国文化艺术，故足迹已触及中国两岸三地所有34个省份，欣赏了江山如此多娇的江河湖泊，征服了不少高山峻岭，见证中国这40年来的韬光养晦，努力不懈奋斗，从一穷二白中崛起，巨龙腾飞，作为海外炎黄子孙的我，感到无比的欣慰与骄傲！故特乘我创立的新加坡妇女艺术协会20周年庆与中国75周年国庆，于9月22日至30日到北京与青鸾阁艺术学院联办《月圆国庆-墨香传情》国际交流展，以艺会友，以资志庆！
